This past summer I was fortunate enough to squeeze in a couple of trips to places I’ve never been before — Charleston, South Carolina being one of them. And may I say, I HEART CHARLESTON! Although the trip was brief, I was able to explore a lot in a short amount of time thanks to the lovely host(s) Ellie McNevin and her husband Nick. Prior to going I was told “Charleston is very photogenic” and I was absolutely not disappointed.
I want to give a sincere THANK YOU to Ellie and Nick — an extremely well-versed, dynamic (and kinda really beautiful!) twosome making waves in their respective industries. Ellie is such a lovely person, a charming blend of her southern roots with New Yorker sensibility and flair. Being a talented Interior Designer and Editor (with experience at Lonny.com, Luxe Magazine, Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, and Rue Magazine just to name a few), I was privileged enough to photograph parts of her (new) home in the making. And Nick brought some of the most delicious infusions I’ve ever tasted to the table at The Drawing Room at The Vendue where he is the Sous Chef. Check out some of his colorful creations below and other shots from the trip.
The Vendue is also a visual feast for the eyes!
The coolest (and sweetest!) pony during our excursion at the Magnolia Plantation & Gardens. Bangs, ombré and crimp, oh my! Stylin’.
Oysters and Rosé at Leon’s.
A little antique and jewelry browsing is always fun 🙂
We took a trip to Sullivan Island. Again, love it! Hard lines and geometric shapes are right up my alley.
